Acme wants the banner resized for Instagram by Friday — can someone own it?

On it. I’ll turn this into a task so we track it.

Who can do this

Everyone. Private channels are visible only to the people invited to them.

Before you start

  • Nothing.

Step by step

  1. 1

Make a channel per client or per team

Open Connect Hub and click the plus beside Channels. One channel per client is the pattern that survives contact with real work; one per project fragments too fast.

  2. 2

    Choose public or private

A public channel is visible to everyone in the workspace and people can join themselves. A private one is invitation-only and does not appear in the list for anyone else. You cannot make a private channel public later, so decide now.

  3. 3

Reply in a thread, not the main channel

Hover a message and click reply to start a thread. It keeps a side conversation out of everyone else's way, and the people in it still get notified.

  4. 4

    Pull someone in with @

Type @ and their name to mention them. They get a notification in the app and by email if they are away. Mentions are the only thing that reliably interrupts someone, so use them when you mean it.

  5. 5

    Start a huddle

Click the video icon in the channel header to start an HD call in place. Share your screen, record it, run a poll or open the whiteboard. Anyone in the channel can join without a link.

  6. 6

Let the AI take the notes

Turn on notes before or during the call. Afterwards you get a summary and the action items, which you can push straight into a project as tasks.

  7. 7

Turn what was said into work

Any message can become a task or a scheduled meeting from its menu, with a link back to the thread it came from.

Worth knowing

  • Set your status and quiet hours from your avatar so nobody expects a reply at eleven at night.
  • Search reaches messages, tasks and people at once — it is usually quicker than remembering which channel something was in.
  • Save a message to come back to it later; saved messages have their own list.

Common questions

How fast is it really?

Messages, presence and typing sync over a live connection, normally under a second. There is nothing to refresh.

Can I call someone outside the workspace?

Huddles are for members. For a client, schedule a meeting instead and send them the Google Meet or Zoom link it generates.

Are recordings stored?

Recordings you keep are stored against the call and listed with its notes. You can delete one at any time.

Still stuck?

Send us the details and it becomes a tracked ticket with a reference you can follow.
