Who can do this

Anyone on a plan that includes Social studio. Connecting and disconnecting accounts is limited to owners and admins.

Before you start

  • Admin access to the social accounts you want to connect.

Step by step

  1. 1

    Connect an account

Open Social studio, go to Accounts and click Connect. You are sent to the network to sign in and approve access, then returned. Reconnect from the same place if a token ever expires.

  2. 2

    Group accounts by client

If you run social for several clients, put each client's accounts into their own client group. It keeps calendars, approvals and reporting separate.

  3. 3

    Write a post

Click New post and write once. Tailor the caption per network where it matters — what works on LinkedIn rarely works on X. Attach images or video; each network's limits are checked before you can schedule.

  4. 4

    Get it approved

Send it for internal review, or generate a client link so they can approve without an account. Nothing publishes while it is waiting.

  5. 5

    Schedule it

Pick a date and time on the calendar, or publish now. Best-time suggestions are based on each account's own history. The post publishes on its own — nothing needs to be open.

  6. 6

    Handle the replies

Comments and messages from connected accounts land in one inbox. Reply there rather than on each network, and save canned replies for the questions that keep coming back.

  7. 7

    Check what worked

Reporting shows reach and engagement per post and per account, so the next calendar is an argument rather than a guess.

Worth knowing

  • On the Free plan, Social studio covers Facebook and Instagram for twelve months, one account each.
  • A post that fails to publish tells you why and stays in the queue for you to fix — it is never silently dropped.
  • Use the client approval link for anyone who will not log in. It expires and it is not indexed.

Common questions

Which networks are supported?

Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky and Pinterest, depending on your plan. Bluesky connects with a Bluesky App Password rather than a sign-in page.

An account stopped publishing.

Almost always an expired token. Open Accounts and reconnect; queued posts resume.

Can I schedule Reels and Stories?

Yes, alongside normal posts and full YouTube videos with titles, descriptions and thumbnails.

Still stuck?
